The Arc Raiders Old Timers Club began almost by accident.
It was created by Dan, known in the community as the Arc Raider Old Timer, a chronically ill YouTuber who decided on a whim to start making videos about a new game he had begun playing called Arc Raiders. There was no grand plan or expectation that anything would come from it. It was simply a creative outlet and a way to share his experience with the game.
At the time, Dan already ran a small Facebook group of around ten people called the Battlefield 6 Old Timers Club. One day, he repurposed the group for Arc Raiders, creating a space intended primarily for older players who wanted a calmer, more respectful place to enjoy the game.
What followed was completely unexpected.
Over the next three months, the group grew from ten members to nearly five thousand.
Unlike many other Arc Raiders communities, the Old Timers Club was built around a clear set of values. Respect comes first, a friendly and peaceful atmosphere is encouraged, and toxicity of any kind is not tolerated.
The focus has never been on competition, ego, or aggressive playstyles, but on enjoying Arc Raiders together and treating fellow players with respect.
As word spread, players who would not traditionally consider themselves "old timers" began asking to join. It quickly became clear that being an Old Timer was less about age and more about mindset.
From this, the OTC identity naturally formed, with members proudly adding OTC to their names across the community.
Today, the Arc Raiders Old Timers Club is one of the fastest-growing Arc Raiders communities. The Facebook group now numbers in the thousands, and the Discord community is approaching five hundred members at the time of writing.
What started as a small YouTube channel has grown into a welcoming, supportive community across multiple platforms.
The group and wider community remain closely tied to their original YouTube roots. Dan never expected a small personal project to grow into something so meaningful, and it is a source of genuine pride to see the community that has formed around it.
